Feedback remarks on the speakers

Some feedback that we received on the forms included:

About Danielle Scott, University of Idaho Extension, on "Culture is Connection / Culture is Prevention"

  • "Great presentation on how culture is prevention and what connecting to culture can look like."
  • "LOVED connection of practical cultural authenticity with becoming resilient individually and tribally. Wonderful presentation and work she is doing! Was amazing to see the value of connection through the Nez Perce culture in so many different ways and extensions."

About Benefits of Play by Darcy Peterson and Alicia Robertson

  • "Great presentation and resources! This helps me to learn and inform others how important play is for kids and everyone. The benefits of play can be used as a teaching tool for teachers. Let children and adults play!"
  • "Awesome presentation! I loved the interactiveness of it and plan to use that activity in my job."

About Yoga on the Green with Molly Hogan

  • "Just right! I get nervous about “basic/easy” yoga classes since I haven’t experienced that in the past but this one was super comfortable and made me feel welcome and that I could do it. So relaxing and fun!"

About Nick Eylar and Two Rivers Child Advocacy Center

  • "I am so impressed with these 2 individuals. Their passion for child victims is heartwarming. I want to learn more and I want to help. As such, I am going to pursue what I can learn and what I can do to help in the success of CAC."
  • "Needed resource-look forward to seeing how we can be partners…focusing on awareness and education."
  • "Expanding community awareness of exceptional interconnected system to PROTECT CHILDREN."

About the brain architecture game

  • This was a great visual way to see how ACEs and protective factors can impact a child.
  • Realistic game that really helped in understanding ACEs and resiliency! Fun but sad and realistic.
  • Definitely reinforced how devastating and traumatic events can be.
  • Fantastic - a great show of real life. Life is not easy and some really don’t get a fair break-we need to understand (at least try to) and reach out and help others! Don’t turn your head-you see people hurting, reach out and help!
